Last Sunday Dave Stoltzfus uttered a phrase that has been stuck in my mind. The qualifications of Christ’s laborers “are so contrary to human nature that they’re impossible to achieve unless there are miraculous events that happen in our own lives.” When was the last time you considered the miracles in your life that were wrought through the power of God?
Jesus was once having a conversation with a religious leader and told him, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3 NLT). Naturally, the leader was befuddled, “What do you mean?
How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” (John 3:4 NLT). Jesus went on to tell the man about the miracle of the new birth and how things worked differently in the Kingdom of God. In our rational minds, even those of us who believe, sometimes forget about the miraculous and mighty power of God that lies within us. We don’t attempt the impossible because we forget that because of the “miraculous events” that happened within us, all things become possible. Have those “miraculous events” taken place in your life? Do you still live in awe and wonder of the miracle of Jesus and labor for Him in victory because of how He’s transformed the way you think?
