And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
Jesus the son of God left the realms of Glory to take on flesh (or become like mankind). Why would he do that? Because of the love that he had for the world.
Hebrews 2:17-18 (NLT) Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
Hebrews 7:25 (NLT) Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. Scripture tells us that this Jesus (Word of Flesh) is the propitiation for our sins, who sits at the right hand of the Father and makes intercession on our behalf.
Hebrews 4:12 (NLT) This Word of Flesh is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
