Take a moment out of your busy day, catch your breath, remove all other thoughts from your mind, and meditate on this one thought for a moment, “Jesus loves me!” This Jesus who loves me is the Creator of the universe, the Sustainer of life, Eternal, Unchanging, Perfect, Just, All-Knowing, All-Powerful, Faithful, Merciful, Gracious, Holy, and perfectly Loving! And He loves ME! Wow! Not only does this perfect and holy God love me personally and individually, He also pursues me with that love. Romans 8:38-39 says “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” His love for me is present right now. Soak it up! Revel in it! Marvel at it! And be transformed by its power!
