Isaiah 42:10 Sing a new song to the Lord! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands.
Very recently I made the comment as we look at all the pestilences, martyrdom and evil taking place in the world around us; “As we look around it looks like Satan is winning in this battle, but we know who wins in the end.”
There are four places in the Palms that commands us to sing a new song to the Lord. Two places in the Psalms make a declaration of the Psalmist is singing a new song. In Revelations 5:9 the saints are singing a song “You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.”
Let us continue to look to Jesus; the author and finisher of our faith and remember HE is the one who has redeemed us, cleansed us and has set us apart for His workmanship for the world to see. Then we can sing a new song unto Him. Every morning is a new day that brings its own challenges, but it also brings new mercies from God that should bring a song into our hearts and onto our lips.
