We had quite a thunderstorm this week. It made me think of the awesome power our God has. Not only how awesome the storm was with its lightning and thunder but the power our God has to control it. I was reminded of the story in Mathew 8:23-27 when Jesus calmed the storm. There is a lot in our lives that we are not in control of. Just like the storm in this story there are also storms that come that we feel helpless to do anything about. Like when we get sick or something scary is happening in our lives. Just like in those verses God is still in control even when we are overwhelmed and feel like we are drowning. He is in control and we can trust that he will take care of us. I was encouraged by this and I hope you will be too!
