But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be, Matthew 24: 37-39. In the days and years before the flood people were carrying on with their lives without considering their need for God and a relationship with Him. Genesis 6:5 Says that God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Verse 6 says that this grieved God at His heart. Noah warned the people that the flood was coming but they had never even seen a drop of rain and they disregarded Gods warning. We are seeing and experiencing new things in our day that we have not seen before. I believe that God is giving us warnings that the day of the coming of the Son of man is near! Many people go on living their lives with no regard for God or the truth of His word. In the mist of all that wickedness Noah and his family found grace in the eyes of the Lord, Because Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God, Genesis 6:8,9. We need to follow Noah’s example today. Take notice of Gods warnings, share them with the lost around you, and live a life that honors Christ. We need to carry on with our lives here on earth but let’s make sure that everything we do is to the honor and glory of God. Nothing in this life is more important than our relationship with Him!
